Which Style? The Hiker Backpack is a top-of-the-range pack which is ideal for carrying heavier loads (up to 30% of your dog's body weight) and for longer distances. Being a 2 piece pack the saddle bags can be easily removed without having to undo the straps, and the padded saddle section and neoprene tabs on all buckles provide greater comfort for your dog.
Which Size? The pack size also depends on what you are wanting your dog to carry, for instance if the dog will be carrying light, bulky items or carrying dense, heavy items. About our Backpacks
This practical feature is a big plus whenever you are using the pack, and is essential in situations where backpacks may have to be constantly removed to negotiate difficult obstacles such as logs over pathways, creeks, narrow openings, etc. The PVC buckle locks the pack section on to the saddle. These backpacks have been well and truly tried and tested on Alaskan Malamutes who have carried 30% of their body weight (up to 15 kg) in their packs over hikes of up to 70 km through rough terrain. The water bowl folds out to a diameter of around 7 inches and depth of about 2.5 inches, which is large enough for any dog to drink from without excessive spillage.Available with or without snap hook attachment.

POOCH POUCH From $12.50*
Small waterproof pouch attaches to any lead or walking belt for carrying plastic bags to clean up after your dog, or other small items. The pouch is large enough to hold several bags and has a velcro and clip fastening to attach to any lead. Pouch measures approximately 4 x 4 inches.
