Ganglines are used for harness work with single or multiple dog teams pulling bikes, scooters, carts or sleds. The ganglines attach by a snap hook to the toggle loop at the rear of the dog's harness to connect the dog or team of dogs to the scooter, cart or sled they are pulling. Materials Our ganglines are made from 8 mm polyrope. Cable lines are available upon request - please phone or email for a quote. All lines incorporate brass snap hooks and a bungee shock-absorber section to prevent jarring injuries to the dog - a must for running any dog in harness, whether it be recreational or in competition. Which colour? Colours available will vary from time to time, depending on what our suppliers have in stock. Please note that black lines are more difficult to see and untangle, particularly in situations of poor light. Not only are they difficult for you to see, but also for other teams, mushers and handlers to see. For larger teams it may be preferable to use different colours for different sections to aid in untangling. Line length & dimensions The length of ganglines and tuglines tends to be a personal preference and varies from team to team and from dog to dog. For this reason we make our lines longer so they can be shortened if necessary. In the 4-dog lines and 2-dog modules the neckline sections can be moved along the towline to suit the length of individual dogs. If you have a preference for specific lengths and spacings please let us know – we can make lines to suit your specifications.

Polyrope line incorporates bungee shock-absorber section & brass snap hooks with 4 tug-lines, 2 neckline sections for wheel dogs. The necklines for wheel dogs can be moved along the gangline to suit the length of individual dogs. (neckline for lead dogs sold separately) Even if you only have a 3-dog team, the 4-dog setup gives you the option of positioning your dogs in dual wheel and single lead OR in dual lead and single wheel positions. For a 3-dog team simply hook both tuglines to the one harness and, for a single wheel dog, both necklines to the collar.
